Mechanical has provided a full range of refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, drain cleaning, and environmental services to commercial, industrial and residential customers.POSITION OVERVIEW:The Parts Purchaser's responsibility is to procure, track, and maintain all parts related to our service business as well as our standing inventory list. This position works directly with the service department and technicians in the field to order materials when necessary. Responsible to update status on outstanding orders daily and escalate to key service personnel when there will be delays, especially on critical parts. This role directly impacts the customer experience and our success as a service team overall.RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure timely ordering and delivery of parts for open work orders as well as inventory items for trucks and warehouses.Communicate parts status updates through our internal software as well as customer specific software in some cases.Coordinate, execute and conduct physical inventory counts.Perform periodic quality checks to ensure inventory meets company standards.Maintain reports and records relating to inventory needs, usage, turns, and make suggestions regarding stocking levels.Place and track orders compliant with company procedures and purchase order management.Record all estimates/purchases/shipping status for tracking and communicate with vendors to mitigate and resolve any issues or discrepancies.Continuously source alternative supply lines and current industry pricing.Review and sign off on invoices after ensuring accurate pricing/purchase order accuracy and physical receipt of ordered items.Process any returns and reimbursements for missing and/or defective items.Report discrepancies between physical inventory counts and company records.Other duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSAbility to occasionally work weekends/ off hours.Education/Experience:High School diploma or GED and 1 years' experience managing inventory or related work and Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, & Outlook)Preferred Qualifications2 years' inventory management/procurement experienceAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentVerbal & written communication skillsAttention to detail and organizationProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook* REWARDING YOUR PERFORMANCE * Competitive Salary, commensurate with experience, Company paid vacation and holidays, Company health care, vision, & dental benefits, 401k plan with Company match, Company paid life insurance, Education and training provided with monetary incentives available for education courses completed, Eligible for performance and company-based bonusesWebsite link: https://www.gemechanical.com/applynowG.E.
