A Engineer Associate is needed for a world class utility company in the Tulsa, OK area. This engineering position involves performing technical work and assisting higher-level engineers with projects, while developing skills in problem-solving, coordination, communication, and decision-making, adhering to relevant standards and regulations.

responsibilities:

• Applies theory to solve well-defined problems.

• Coordinates work activities of others to resolve routine engineering tasks.

• Demonstrates knowledge of policies and procedures.

• Contributes to routine project planning documents.

• Understands scheduling techniques (CPM, PERT, flow charts).

• Seeks understanding of engineering problems and solutions.

• Encouraged to participate in professional and business organizations.

Skills:

• Assists in preparing reports and technical papers.

• Assimilates information and instructions.

• Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing.

• Listens to and understands instructions, asks for clarification when needed.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET.

• Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering examination in preparation for future licensing as a Professional Engineer (PE) is encouraged and preferred.

• ABET - Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.

Acceptable alternatives:

• A Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET), plus a Professional Engineers (PE) license in any state of the U.S. or

• A Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET) plus a Master's degree or PhD in engineering from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelor's program.
