job summary:
A Engineer Associate is needed for a world class utility company in the Tulsa, OK area. This engineering position involves performing technical work and assisting higher-level engineers with projects, while developing skills in problem-solving, coordination, communication, and decision-making, adhering to relevant standards and regulations.

responsibilities:
Applies theory to solve well-defined problems.
Coordinates work activities of others to resolve routine engineering tasks.
Demonstrates knowledge of policies and procedures.
Contributes to routine project planning documents.
Understands scheduling techniques (CPM, PERT, flow charts).
Seeks understanding of engineering problems and solutions.
Encouraged to participate in professional and business organizations.
Skills:
Assists in preparing reports and technical papers.
Assimilates information and instructions.
Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Listens to and understands instructions, asks for clarification when needed.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET.
Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering examination in preparation for future licensing as a Professional Engineer (PE) is encouraged and preferred.
ABET - Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.
Acceptable alternatives:
A Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET), plus a Professional Engineers (PE) license in any state of the U.S. or
A Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET) plus a Master's degree or PhD in engineering from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelor's program.
