Working in close partnership with the business leadership team, you will manage the vision and agenda for business analytics in your area of responsibility.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Support stakeholders across portfolio using agile ROI/KPI initiatives that will drive improvements

  • Identify and incubate best-in-class external partners to drive delivery on projects

  • Work on development of custom models/algorithms to uncover signals/patterns and trends to drive long-term business performance

  • Support the data strategy in your area of responsibility, which encompasses data collection architecture, data governance, and data reporting infrastructure

  • Build a professional and reliable team

  • Run the business analytics program practice using a methodical approach that conveys to stakeholders what business analytics will deliver`

IN THIS ROLE

You will have the opportunity to make a big impact on our business performance as you support the data & analytics strategy and lead the ideation, development and execution of custom models, algorithms and applications that enable business growth and revenue generation.

Working in close partnership with the business leadership team, you will manage the vision and agenda for D&A in Canada and be a subject matter expert on Salesforce TPM and Retail execution datasets to drive analytics.

WHAT THIS TEAM (AND ROLE) DOES IN THE MDLZ D&A FUNCTION

Work collaboratively with multiple teams and external partners to build the analytics roadmap which aligns with overall business objectives.

You will lead the ideation and delivery of applications that transform business processes, are scalable, sustainable, and embedded in the ways of working of business teams.

Develop and codify frameworks and custom models/algorithms to uncover signals/patterns and trends to drive long-term business performance.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Ability to influence the business agenda and make recommendations to senior leaders.

Proven track record of building strong relationships across the organization and continuous improvement of processes.

Leadership experience in best-in-class analytics practice roles.

Savvy in usage of analytics techniques to create business impacts.

The individual is passionate about delivering insights and has a solid financial and analytical acumen.

Proven people leadership experience.

The ability to work collaboratively across teams is critical to build robust tools leveraging business and data / AI best practices.

Leadership, thought leadership, ability to influence, building and leading highly effective teams.

Demonstrated ability to launch and deliver multiple, concurrent IT projects on time and within budget successfully.

Education and Expereince

B.S./B.A. (required) Information Systems/Technology, Business Analytics or related field, Masters is preferred but not essential.

10+ years of relevant experience in Data and Analytics (CPG or FMCG is prefered).

Experience with data cleansing & validation with the ability to extract insights from disparate data sources in formulating stories.

Advanced skills in MS Excel/Google Sheets and MS PowerPoint/Google Slides.

Experience with data visualization tools (e.g Tableau, PowerBI).

Experience with programming on Python/R

SPECIFIC SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

Salesforce TPM / Retail Execution experience is critical

Nielsen/IRI or other EPOS/Retail Sales data source; Kantar/GFK or other household panel source.

K-means/multiple regressions & clustering; Market Mix Modeling or other econometrics.

Solid understanding of the sales and RGM processes as well as a deep understanding of associated datasets and challenges often faced on data and problem solving.

Confidence with working within syndicated databases (e.g. IRI, Nielsen) to pull and analyze data.

Travel requirements:

Some travel to the US - 10% of work schedule
