Tyson Foods Transportation Crew Supervisor in Storm Lake, Iowa
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for directing the transportation crew in the moving of poults from the brooder hubs to the finishers and their other daily activities, including cleaning and washing poult trailers, grease all bearings, and lubricate all chains. Essential functions include the following: Set brooder hub moving schedule with brooding manager. Set trailer and wash schedule. Schedule and document the preventative maintenance of poult loaders and trailers. Ensure the timely moving of poults from the brooder hubs to the finisher sites. Ensure the Farms biosecurity is followed at all times. Help move birds. Monitor labor costs for the transportation crew. Handle team member issues. Adhere and enforce all Tyson safety policies. Key measurable results include acceptable DOA rate, flocks to achieve corporate cost goals, achieve corporate safety rates, and eliminate downtime due to equipment failure. The applicant must maintain 98% attendance, adhere to all safety policies and perform other duties as necessary and as assigned by the production manager. REQUREMENTS: High School Diploma preferred, but not required. 2 years of live poultry production experience required. Valid Driver's License required. CDL preferred, but not required. Spanish preferred, but not required. Some weekend work required. Candidate must be willing to submit to a drug screen and post offer health assessment.
