A.T. Still University Director, Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology MOSDOH in St Louis, Missouri
Description
The Director of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology will provide all oral pathology didactic content to second-, third-, and fourth-year dental and ASID students before transitioning into the third-year class. At the St. Louis Dental Center, the Director will work with third- and fourth-year dental students clinically on a one-on-one basis during oral pathology consultations, medical consultations, soft tissue biopsies, and patient recall visits.
Major Duties
Oral and maxillofacial pathology didactic content in MDOH 6302, MDOH 7402, MDOH 8302, and MDOH 8402.
Oral and maxillofacial pathology clinical content in MDOH 7306, MDOH 7406, MDOH 8306, and MDOH 8406.
Representative on the Clinical Operations, Policies & Compliance Committee (student chart audit data).
SCU Director Representative on the Academic Progress Committee.
Faculty Mentor, D3 Research Project.
Service in MOSDOH and ATSU committees, as directed.
Representative on the Clinical Operations, Policies & Compliance Committee (student chart audit data).
SCU Director Representative on the ATSU-MOSDOH Outcomes Assessment.
Ethical Conduct and Professional Behavior Committee.
SCU Director Representative on the Student Awards Committee.
Other committees, as appointed.
Faculty Admissions Interviewer.
Education/Training
D.D.S., D.M.D., Specialty Certification in Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology.
At least 2 years experience in a dental teaching environment.
At least 2 years experience in practice of oral and maxillofacial pathology.
Skill Requirements
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Self directed and take initiative.
Highly skilled in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Personal Characteristics/Traits
Diplomacy is a must.
Organized, good communicator.
Adaptable and motivated.
Able to work independently.
Other Information
Travel to Kirksville will be required.
Current Missouri State Dental License is required.
