Position : Engineer- Specialized III

Location : Springdale, OH

Title: Engineer- Specialized III

Worksite Location: This position reports to the Cincinnati, Ohio office but requires that the employee be willing to relocate to assigned worksites at various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. and reside within commuting distance of the current assigned worksite. Hybrid work may be permitted.

Duties: Perform development tasks for designated IT projects and applications including but not limited to Web-based application development, orchestration, automation, database design and development, and custom application development. The position may also be responsible for maintaining critical operational application systems that support the business or business customers. This person must effectively work with the business and/or customer to develop requirements and documents for sign-off, work with business and/or customer IT resources to develop project plans, test cases, deployment plans, etc., and provide guidance to other IT developer resources. Act as a development resource on new development efforts or enhancements to existing applications/software systems. Work with IT managers/Application Administrators on new development, enhancements, or maintenance for existing custom developed applications, Cloud automation, DevOps, or packaged software. Program, test, debug and document software applications. Develop test cases, scenarios, and scripts to ensure application quality, as well as develop all online help and documentation. Support change management for all sources and deliverables. Construct reusable, logical code using standard conventions and best practices. Assist in the preparation of detailed designs from pre-approved requirements for programs, modules, and/or routines, including complete documentation. Develop realistic schedules and cost estimates for software development tasks. Participate in development and documentation of software process definition, implementation methods, and practices for process and product control. Establish policies and procedures for control and release of software components. Support configuration management, independent testing, technical documentation, training, and maintenance activities related to software development. This position reports to the Cincinnati, Ohio office but requires that the employee be willing to relocate to assigned worksites at various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. and reside within commuting distance of the current assigned worksite. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 5 years of experience working with client/server architecture, software architecture, and user requirements analysis. 4 years of experience working with Microsoft cloud technologies, including Azure and Azure application services (AKS and CLI). 3 years of experience building CICD pipelines and automating build and deployment process. 3 years of experience developing applications. 3 years of experience with Open Source. 3 years of experience working on project teams. 2 years of experience working with Java/JavaScript (XML, HTML, J2EE). 2 years of experience with Jenkins. Demonstrated ability exercising good judgment and setting priorities to complete work assignments.
