As the key driver of organizational learning and development, the Specialist, L&D will collaborate with Talent & Culture leadership, CoE team members and the Talent Optimization leads for Prepared, Poultry and Fresh Meats to develop, implement and maintain Learning & Development solutions to achieve business and talent objectives and drive cultural alignment.
Essential Responsibilities :
Time commitment of foundational support of key areas of responsibility is 70% Handle training requests from the business with a consultative approach which includes assessing the true need through identifying clear performance outcomes, identifying the best performance improvement approach, and creating a measurement plan. Design, develop, and implement training materials including facilitator guides, participant guides, job aids, computer based training/learning options, and training videos. This includes development of story boards through finished product and can include stand-alone lessons or entire curriculums. All solutions should be accompanied by a measurement plan with outcomes linked to the business. Mange multiple learning projects to successful completion with consistent statusupdate communications. Facilitate in person and virtual training. Develop supporting communication documentation and platforms for program administration and launches. Define templates and best practices for instructional materials and delivery. Consult with HR Business Partners, Talent Optimization leads, and organizational leaders to identify performance gaps and offer performance improvement solutions that may include training, coaching, process change, team effectiveness, or other solutions. Develop other team members' instructional design and curriculum development skills, both within and outside of HR. Agile/Scrum Team Time Commitment 30% Collaborate as part of an agile/scrum team made up of other Talent& Culture CoE team members and the Talent Optimization leads to identify, develop and deliver solutions, beyond those that exist, to respond to business needs.
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 3+ learning & development related, including LMS administration, facilitation, training, TM development, certifications, etc. 2+ years of instructional design experience - including eLearning, video production, and virtual training solutions.
Computer Skills: Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and familiarity with web-based applications. Knowledge of and experience working with learning management systems and online meeting systems. Proven experience working with e-learning software (such as Articulate Storyline) and video production.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills - including verbal, writtenand listening skills; ability to present effectively to all levels of team members including senior leadership; demonstrated candor, specifically listening with an open mind, having courage to speak up and give feedback, and acknowledging mistakes/failures.
Special Skills: Knowledge of adult learning principles and experience building adult learning programs, adhering to all adult learning preferences. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Strong time managementand planning skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Vendor management.
