This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by insuring the Supervisor s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position will also monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
This position is responsible for maintaining a smooth flow of inbound and outbound loads. This requires the person to have good communication skills and be able to communicate with internal and external customers. This position is responsible for helping to ensure that all team members within the department are adequately performing their job duties and provide feedback to the supervisor. This person must be able to perform each position within the department so they can fill in. This position includes performing inventories, loading and unloading trailers, manifest loads, bill out trucks and other duties directed by management. Must be able to use a computer to complete a portion of their job duties.
Applicants will be considered from the following counties in AR Washington, Benton and Madison. They will also be considered from McDonald County in MO. Must be able to operate or become qualified to operate the following equipment inventory systems, scanner, forklift, power jack and yard trucks. Must have a valid driver's license and clean MVR. Learn SAP, Tyson1 and PPS system, this is required to receive shipping and inventory of products. Must be able to work in extreme weather and temperature conditions (freezer is -10 degrees). Must be able to work outside in inclement weather. Must be able to read, write and orally communicate in English. Must be able to lift 40 pounds or more.
