Tyson Foods Sales Account Executive- Industrial in Springdale, Arkansas
The Food Service Sales Executive is responsible for managing all activities within the Industrial Sales channel. The Industrial team works in strategic partnerships across manufacturing segments to drive operational efficiencies and deliver critical scale to help our plants run efficiently. The position works collaboratively with our cross-functional business partners to offer and pursue operational advantages that will enable our customers to win.
This person will be responsible for building and managing relationships with all Industrial customers. The primary responsibility is to achieve annual volume targets by maintaining our current business base while acquiring new business. This individual will be required to work in conjunction with our demand planning, customer service, R&D and business unit partners to achieve established financial targets while keeping the Customer Promise at the center of everything we do.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The essential duties and responsibilities are to meet volume targets and financial plans established by our organization for the assigned area of responsibility as outlined below (interactions may vary by account):
Leads cross functional teams through the management of the Industrial RFP/Bid process.
Work collaboratively with BU’s, R&D, Revenue Mgmt, and Demand Planning to secure alignment on opportunities and capabilities.
Work in conjunction with cross functional Tyson internal teams to identify the targeted categories that are strategic for the Industrial channel.
Work with BU to craft selling strategies that differentiate Tyson from other Industrial manufactures to minimize Industrial customers trying to commoditize our products.
Partner with R&D as well as technical services
Work with Operations and Tyson BU to prioritize the opportunity pipeline
Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure product meets the needs of the customer
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders simultaneously
Experience: 7+ years outside sales experience (Food Service, Food Service Manufacturing or Distributor Sales)
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
Special Skills: Ability to work independently, while demonstrating strong leadership skills and actively develops other; Broker Management or Direct Sales Management Experience desirable; Ability to translate corporate direction into sales successes and the ability to create alignment with the broker; Results orientation to volume and profit; Strong organization skills, strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and interpersonal communication skills; Understanding of motivational leadership, conflict resolution and strong selling skills are desired
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Computer Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office products
Supervisory: 3 direct reports
