Tyson Foods Driver Recruiter 5 in Springdale, Arkansas
Summary: the primary responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: Recruiting Class A CDL drivers to fill open positions within the Tyson Foods Long Haul Transportation group. Recruiting includes managing leads, makingcold calls, accepting phone calls, following up on referrals, etc.; Providing aid to candidates who struggle with the electronic application; Processing applications and gathering work history verifications and background information to fulfill the requirements of the personal and work history portion of the dot application; managing the electronic application from initial entry to either approval or rejection by Manager of Recruiting. Additional responsibilities also includecommunication such as preparation for pre-hire and orientation class, and arranging travel to get the candidate to pre-hire activities.
Experience: Preferred 1 year of experience within transportation industry, or in the sales industry. Knowledge of hiring dot qualified drivers is a plus.
Computer skills: Must possess advanced computer skillset, including the ability to use many types of software such as Microsoft office and the electronic applicant tracking system.
Communication skills: excellent verbal communication, including telephone communication and working directly with the public. The ability to multi task is essential.
Travel: could include up to 2 trips per year to job fairs, schools, or conventions.
