Ohio Farmers Insurance Company Regulatory Compliance Senior Analyst in Seville, Ohio

The Regulatory Compliance Senior Analyst, working under moderate supervision, is responsible to monitor, analyze, and respond to state regulatory and legislative changes pertaining to insurance product forms, rules, coverages, and procedures to identify potential changes and anticipate the impact on the company's insurance business. The role works with Counsels, Government Relations, and Product Development Leaders to analyze legislation, regulation or court cases and develops strategies to mitigate negative impacts across all insurance products. The role also conducts audits with a focus on proactively identifying areas of non-compliance to regulatory requirements. Monitors, analyzes, and responds to state regulatory and legislative changes pertaining to insurance product forms, rules, coverages, and procedures to identify potential changes and anticipates the impact on the company's insurance business. Conducts audits with a focus on proactively identifying areas of non-compliance to regulatory requirements. Maintains the published cancellation, non-renewal and renewal notification reference guides and interprets cancellation, non-renewal, and renewal notification laws and counsels business units around compliance. Work with business and external vendors to draft product language to accommodate new business objectives and perform compliance on products in accordance with regulatory requirements and expected priorities. Prepares and files state filings pertaining to voluntary premium credit programs and responds to mandatory policy audits. Prioritizes a high volume of daily work including the review of advertising and training materials to ensure compliance with laws and regulations across multiple product lines. Collaborates with company regulatory compliance peers to address and bring solutions to corporate regulatory compliance issues. Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external customers. Reviews assigned legislative summaries and determines what actions need to be taken within requisite timeframes. Conducts reputational reviews and make recommendations related to licensing and appointment of new hires or renewals of existing licenses and appointments. 3-5 years of experience in Regulatory Body Audits, Regulatory Affairs, or Legal and Regulatory Compliance, or a related field. Bachelor's degree in Legal or a related field and/or commensurate experience.
