This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.


This position is responsible for the production operation and will unload and wash all trailers, tankers and reefers, monitor cookers and soap and wash all areas of the plant. Check lubrication on machinery, change oil and belts on gear boxes, perform equipment PM and auger inspections. Will assist maintenance when needed while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Tasks These positions require standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 60 pounds, shoveling, climbing stairs and ladders up to 30 feet, bending, stretching, reaching, working in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors. Maintain clean work area by use of soap and high pressure water hose with 30 pounds of pressure or more. Will be required to obtain the certification and operate a forklift or skid-steer loader. Must be able to use basic hand tools and perform basic mechanical and maintenance functions. Must have basic computer skills. Must have the ability to read and understand policies, procedures and regulations. Must have the ability to document information. Must be willing to work A, B, C or D shift. Applicants must be 18 years of age. Applicants who have worked for Tyson two times will not be considered. Minimum 6 month waiting period from previous Tyson employment.
