This is a part-time position - 48 hours per pay period with flexibility in scheduled hours and with potential of moving into Full Time.

As an RN MDS Nurse at Country Manor: Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for all assigned MDS's, CAA's, and care plans according to State Regulations and Standards.

• Complete RN Assessments as assigned.

• Will actively work with nursing staff to aid in accuracy and completion of item sets of MDS.

• Will be responsible to know and comply with facility and department safety rules.

• Assume responsibility for personal growth and development by attending in-services and educational programs made available.

• Attend daily report and monthly wing meetings.

• Assists with auditing of documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and standards of practice are met.

• Assists with skin assessments and weekly skin rounds as directed.

• Assists with completion of clinical and reimbursement audits.

• Other duties as assigned.

  Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure in the State of Minnesota.

• Knowledge and understanding of reimbursement of skilled payors/insurances including but not limited to Medicare, Medicare Replacement, private and commercial health plans.

• Knowledge and understanding of the Minnesota Case Mix System, MDS process, care planning system and general resident assessment requirements.

• Strong nursing assessment skills.

• Basic computer skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with other members of the health care team.

• Excellent organizational skills and time management skills.

• Must be in good mental and physical health and have a genuine concern for the elderly.

  Qualifications Preferred:

• 2 + years' experience as an RN Knowledge and understanding of resident assessment instrument (MDS)
