This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product thru the production process and insuring proper ingredients supplies are being used on the line. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Applicants will be considered for a Machine Operator opening in the RTE Departments to operate packaging lines within Tyson specifications and with minimal downtime and meat waste. Utilize Vorne scanners to track line performance, monitor quality of meat and materials ensure that safety and proper food handling procedures are upheld. Complete necessary SAP transacations and accurately complete assigned documentation. Instruct and assign tasks related to the operation of the line and other duties as assigned by supervisor or lead person. Be willing and able to tolerate temperatures as cold as 35 degrees, be able to lift up 40-60 pounds repeatedly, be able to walk and stand on cement floor for the shift duration. Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions. Must have basic math skills and computer knowledge, and ability to assess equipment and demonstrate basic mechanical knowledge. Ability to read and comprehend product specifications sheets.
Must be available to work shift, including weekends, and available for overtime. All job offers are based on the conditions that the candidate can provide proof of authorization to work legally in the United States and pass a urinalysis screening which is part of the post-offer health assessment.
