Strategic Development:

  • Develop insight-informed, data-driven strategies aligned with Sam’s Club vision.

  • Drive quantifiable improvements in key metrics: Sales, Member Experience, Profitability.

  • Lead the team in executing strategies within a matrixed environment.

  • Collaborate with Sam’s Club leaders for short-term and long-term results.

People Leadership:

  • Participate in recruitment and hiring of key personnel.

  • Acquire, teach, train, and nurture skilled subject matter experts.

  • Manage performance and support space planning.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with Sam’s stakeholders.

  • Developstrong relationships with SAM’s Fresh Market Managers and relevant teams.

  • Ensure satisfaction, address concerns, and identify improvement opportunities.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Utilize data and analytics to assess performance and inform growth strategies.

  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).

Collaboration:

  • Work cross-functionally with Sam’s Club Operations and Merchandising teams to deliver results.

Market and Industry Awareness:

  • Stay updated on market trends, consumer preferences, and new product offerings.

  • Conduct market research and influence strategies to meet Member demands.

Meeting Planning:

  • Support Annual Meetings (YBM/Holiday/Fresh training/Investor/Shareholder).

Project Management:

  • Lead broadscale projects to deliver against Sam’s Club strategies and objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree

Work Experience:

  • 10+ years of related experience

  • 10+ years of supervisory/management experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in varioussoftware packages

  • Ability to analyze data for effective presentations

  • Solid understanding of fundamental financial management principles

The VP/Team Leader is critical to the current and future growth and profitability of the Company. The VP/Team Leader is recognized by both the Management Committee and his/her peers as a key contributor to the organization. He/she exhibits high proficiency in performance of responsibilities. The designation of VP/Team Leader requires Management Committee approval. The VP/Team Leader is dedicated to a specific customer with responsibility for overall business development with that customer.
