Sanofi Group Maintenance Planner and Scheduler in Ridgefield, New Jersey

The Maintenance Planner / Scheduler is a dedicated role with the function of planning and scheduling work tasks to complete Corrective, Preventive, Predictive, and Inspections activities on cGMP, non-cGMP, utilities, and structural assets and systems. Plans the job and creates a work plan or job package that consists of what work needs to be done, how it will be done, what materials, tools, or special equipment are needed, and estimates time and skills. Planners work closely with MRO Stores and Purchasing personnel to ensure timely delivery of previously identified materials and parts for tasks. Utilizes a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and / or Enterprise Asset Management System (EAM) as the main tool to plan and schedule work. Maintains electronic records and files essential to the meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance related matters. Schedules work activities with asset owners, managers, and supervisors while working closely with lead technicians. Coordinates and prioritizes work in accordance with site procedures. Responsible for managing backlog, work order aging, and Preventive Maintenance compliance as well as gathering and reporting assigned metrics.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the principle liaison between Maintenance, Process Utilities, Engineering, and Manufacturing to complete maintenance and repair activities

  • Act as the central source of information concerning maintenance work and equipment repair

  • Initial screening of incoming work orders, priority of job, identification of scope, and analysis of the required level of planning

  • Ensures all applicable work order fields are accurately populated

  • Walks down job to determine task requirements

  • Identifies specific hazards associated with job

  • Estimates required hours, crafts, and skills needed to perform the job

  • Provides the technician with the appropriate level of detail in order to complete job safely

  • Determines if an equipment Change Request is required

  • Ensures all equipment and tools are ready prior to job start

  • Create and maintain BOM’s

  • Maintains an appropriate backlog level

  • Gathers the necessary engineering or equipment documentation to facilitate job completion

  • Write clear and concise work procedures

  • Identifies all parts required for tasks

  • Creates purchase requisitions

  • Assists the MRO Storeroom function with kitting

  • Facilitate routine Planning and Scheduling meetings with Maintenance and Manufacturing management

  • Create, publish, monitor, and report on weekly work schedules

  • Responsible for PM compliance, Work Order Aging, and other assigned KPI’s

  • Coordinates contractors for routine and non-routine work

  • Act as cross-functional team member for site initiatives

  • Assist with the creation of scheduled shutdown project plans

  • Compiles and delivers reports from the sites Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to support QA, QAE, and Manufacturing

HSE

  • It is required that individuals care for their own safety and wellbeing. Individuals must promote a safe working environment for employees and contractors working in their area of responsibility.

  • The individual must support all Sanofi and site HSE policies as well as ensure that work performed is compliant with local HSE regulations.

  • Individuals must complete all required HSE trainings. Everyone is required to report all accidents and incidents and support investigations in their areas of responsibility. Individuals must ensure timely closure of HSE actions owned by their departments.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Associate’s Degree or High School Diploma / GED with 5 – 10 years relevant experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a skilled trade

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills

  • General knowledge of other related trades

  • Proven knowledge of general and process utilities, i.e. water for injection and purified water systems, clean steam generators, steam boilers, air compressors, switchgear and electrical distribution

  • Direct experience with cGMP, OSHA, and EPA environments

  • Well-versed in CMMS / EAM environments

  • MS Office applications

  • Working knowledge of pharmaceutical / biotechnical manufacturing processes

  • Ability to understand and interpret drawings, and technical documentation

  • Experience working within a cross-functional team

  • Ability to independently determine when additional internal or external resources are required

  • Consistently deliver outstanding customer service

  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and tact
