Job Description

 

Basic Function: To perform preventive and maintenance work involving factory production and non-production equipment. Scope/Supervision: A positive working relationship with other team members, supervision, lead and other departments. Responsibilities: Keep work area neat, clean and organized using the 5S + Safety approach. Perform maintenance and repair work on facilities, machines and equipment requiring a basic knowledge of general trade fundamentals. Repair and adjust production machinery and test equipment to involve replacement of bearings, spindles, electrical switches, etc. Perform preventive maintenance. Act as a back-up to utility responsibilities. Construct bins, racks, pallets and shipping crates as needed. Secure, level and align machines and equipment properly. Dismantle and reassemble machines undergoing repairs and overhauls. Responsible for the operation of the HVAC equipment, plumbing and electrical facilities. Work from drawings, sketches, specifications and instruction manuals. Use proper tools of the trade necessary for the job task. Erect machines when moved or shipped in parts or sections. Submit waste reductions/cost avoidances. Perform all required work to rig, move or erect all types of machine tools and equipment for new installations or plant layout changes. Maintain and assure proper operation of waste water treatment. Being an effective team member and performing other duties as required by supervision and as responsibilities necessitate. Must maintain a high degree of safety conscienceness for themselves as well as others. Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player. Demonstrated ability to work in maintenance field. Good math skills. Basic knowledge of electricity, HVAC, plumbing, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electronics. Good communication and interpersonal, skills. Ability to adapt to changing roles and changing priorities.
