Cylinder Filler (Refri-Claim Check-In)

Job Purpose

The Cylinder Filler is responsible for assisting the production manager and team lead with overall production requirements for incoming and outgoing refrigerants. This position will focus primarily on the refri-claim program, checking in cylinders, staging and testing cylinders, enter into cylinder tracking system, tagging in/out of date, in addition this role will assist in other areas as needed.

Key Responsibilities (not an all-inclusive list)

• Assists the production manager with maintenance on pumps, cylinders, hoses, relief valves, cylinder valves, and bulk tanks
• Ability to handle high-pressure and liquid cylinders
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
• Lead the check in staging process of the cylinders, including entry into Cyltrak system, tagging in/out date
• Inspect cylinders prior to filling, following standard procedures as required
• Prepares cylinders and ISO tanks for filling: Attaches to manifold, evacuates cylinders to eliminate all possible contaminants
• Fills cylinders by pressure and weight, per regulations and standards
• Analyzes products for purity and correct mixtures
• Conducts a variety of Safety checks per procedures, such as checking caps and valves
• Accurately labels cylinders
• Completes quality control sheets as required
• Understands hazards of various gases; size and contents of cylinders by reading and interpreting cylinder labels and the color-coding of tanks
• Complies with all government and company standards relating to the safe handling of hazardous materials/cylinder gases
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment
• Maintain neat, clean and orderly plant appearance
• Other duties as assigned
• Assists the production manager or production technician with tracking incoming and outgoing production inventory
• Participate in a Health and Safety culture to ensure a safe practicing environment
• Other duties as assigned

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications

• Essential
  • High School diploma or GED is required
  • Previous experience working in manufacturing, gas environment required; HVAC experience preferred.
  • Able to clearly communicate, read and write.
  • Must be able to type and manage basic computer skills and data entry
  • Ability to follow job instructions and be aware about his job responsibilities
  • Ability to meet his KPIs and willing to work overtime.
