Location: Boston, MA or Portland, ME

Pay Range: The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from\$111,545 - \$160,345.

Schedule: Hybrid

Job Summary

This position is responsible for directing the short-term forecasting processes for the Networks business segment within AVANGRID. Additionally this role will support performance analysis and key performance reporting for the various Operating Companies within the business segment and other areas outside of Control. This position will lead financial analysis and research projects regarding business issues to provide top management with financial data and business advice to support the key business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Business Partnering for the Networks consolidated Business Performance Story which includes partnering with Senior Iberdrola Executives, the Newtorks CEO, Networks Controller, Avangrid CFO, and other senior leaders regarding Networks Overall Performance.
  • Responsible for the consolidated Networks Budget, Forecast, and Monthly results which will include parterning across the Networks Business Performance team to identify key drivers.
  • Partner with business leadership in the development of business cases and other strategic initiatives to ensure that all current and future investments are made in line with the business strategy and value requirements
  • Support the entire Finance organization by being the most knowledgeable expert and enabling partner regarding the FP&A key systems such as SAC and Excel - being responsive to their needs for new data and reports
  • Develop cost-out strategies to right size our operational expenses and instill a cost-conscious mindset with stakeholders
  • Understand the regulatory structure of US operating companies (along with IFRS and GAAP accounting), collaborating with regulatory and finance colleagues on assessment of rate case changes, application to decision making, and impact to future activities
  • Act as a liaison to drive stakeholder alignment
  • Collaborate with other team members within Control on training and best practices to drive efficiencies in activities and improved outcomes, demonstrating continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of financial experience, including financial analysis/modeling and corporate business accounting experience
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP), financial planning tools (Adaptive or SAC preferred), financial systems implementations, including strong demonstrated use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Google tools.
  • High Level leadership skills.
  • Excellent analytical ability.
  • High Level communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High Level Financial Modeling skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Utilities experience preferred but not required.
  • Master\'s degree preferred.

Avangrid employees may be assigned a system emergency role and in the event of a system emergency, may be required to work outside of their regular schedule/job duties.
