Ponca City is currently seeking a lead principal for24-25 school year. Ponca City High School has over 1300 students and serves grades 9-12. Senior High Faculty and Staff currently consists of 80 certified staff, 4 administrators, and 31 support staff. Position to begin July 1, 2024.

High School Principal

Reports to: Associate Director of Secondary Curriculum

Supervises: School Site Employees

Qualifications:Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate

Valid Oklahoma Administrators Certificate

Previous Teaching Experience

Masters Degree

Job Goal: Provide leadership for all building level education services and programs.

Employment Terms:12 month

Generally, 8.0 Hour Day, Exclusive of a 30 Minute Lunch

FLSA Classification: Exempt

Evaluation: Annually by Executive Director of Curriculum and Federal Programs

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Serves as the primary administrative officer for the school site.

Provides leadership in development and evaluation of short-term and long-term goals for the school including student growth and learning, building needs, staffing, and finances.

Interacts with students to encourage each individual to perform at their highest level.

Assigns teachers to classrooms and students to classes.

Resolves staff problems and provides support to teachers.

Provides general supervision to students.

Supervises extra-curricular activities.
