Position Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud FinOps Analyst to join our Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and economic-related activities for the CCoE. You will play a crucial role in financial cost modeling, tracking, reporting and monitoring cloud spend, and ensuring the organization's cloud investments are optimized for cost-effectiveness and business value.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain financial cost models for cloud services, infrastructure, and applications.

  • Analyze and forecast cloud spending patterns, identifying opportunities for cost optimization.

  • Monitor and report on cloud spend across the organization, providing insights and recommendations for cost savings.

  • Collaborate with cloud architects, engineers, and product owners to understand cloud usage patterns and cost drivers.

  • Develop and implement cloud cost management strategies and governance frameworks.

  • Conduct TCO analyses and cost-benefit analyses for cloud initiatives and other projects.

  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support cloud investment decisions.

  • Create and deliver presentations to key business stakeholders and technical leaders.

  • Liaise with finance and procurement teams to ensure accurate billing and invoicing for cloud services.

  • Stay up-to-date with cloud pricing models, discounts, and cost optimization best practices.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis or cost management, preferably in a cloud computing or technology-related environment.

  • Experience with cloud cost management tools and methodologies.

  • Strong analytical and data analysis skills.

  • Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and service delivery models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).

  • Experience in developing and presenting financial reports and analyses.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Looker, Google Sheets, Power BI).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

  • Understanding of cloud pricing models, discounts, and cost optimization strategies.

  • Knowledge of cloud service delivery models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and their cost implications.

  • Familiarity with cloud cost management tools and best practices.

  • Ability to translate technical concepts into financial terms and business value propositions.

Required Certification/Licenses/Training:

  • Cloud certification (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, or GCP Cloud Digital Leader) is a plus.

  • Financial or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, or CMA) is a plus.

  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with cloud cost management trends and best practices.

Physical Requirements:

  • This will be a hybrid role located in Paramus, NJ.

  • Travel up to 20% may be required.
