ANNIE JEFFREY MEM CO HEALTH CENTER RN Night Nurse in OSCEOLA, Nebraska

Annie Jeffrey Memorial County Health Center, a Critical Access Hospital in Osceola, NE, is seeking Full-time Registered Nurses (RN) for our night shift 7PM-7AM. The RN position offers flexible scheduling including every third weekend and holiday rotation. Work with a strong, dedicated health care team while earning competitive wages and benefits. Night Shift Retention Bonus available immediately, paid every six months. Job Summary/Essential Duties:

  • Responsible for the management of nursing care for patients.
  • Participates in the formulation of the Care Plan for each patient. Coordinate this Care Plan with other health care members, from physician to nursing and ancillary staff.
  • Observes, records and reports physical and psychosocial symptoms, reactions and progress of all patients.
  • Provides necessary and appropriate teaching for patients and their families.
  • Responsible for medication administration and IV therapy, including blood products as necessary.
  • Assists with deliveries in the LDRP.
  • Assists physicians and physician extenders in the Emergency Room.
  • Answers phone after hours and refer questions to medical providers as applicable.
  • Provide primary care for patients as census requires.
  • Serve as a liaison between patient and physician.
  • Takes Utilization Review calls in absence of UR Director.
  • Follows Compliance Plan as established by the hospital.
  • Serves as initial Incident Commander in the event of a disaster, until another IC is named.
  • May function as Charge Nurse or Medication Nurse, depending on shift requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Must have valid, current nursing license in the State of Nebraska.
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) is required.
  • Per Trauma Designation requirements, TNCC (Nurse Trauma Core Course) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) is also required.
