    Job Summary

    In this role, the Business Development Executive - SE will be accountable for prospecting from pre-sale to successful implementation, where the Account Executive will be responsible for structuring and running their own book of business, building relationships with their assigned brokers, meeting and exceeding sales targets and activity metrics. Successful Account Executive’s will be able to demonstrate profound market knowledge and sales acumen in the markets they serve.

    Education and/or Experience

  • Four plus years of experience in healthcare/account management field required.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

  • Healthcare sales experience preferred.

  • Three plus years of account management/sales experience preferred.

  • Three plus years of experience preparing and presenting materials to clients preferred.

  • Three plus years of experience working in partnership with underwriting and finance preferred.

  • Three plus years of experience with data analysis preferred.

  • Three plus years of proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint preferred.

  • Ancillary product knowledge preferred.

    Certification, Licensure and/or Registration

  • This position requires a valid driver’s license and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health Automobile Liability Insurance carrier.

  • Active SD Health and Life License is required, or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.

    Work Schedule

  • Monday – Friday; Days with some evenings and weekends

    Pay

    The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

  • $30.50 - $50.50 per hour
