Position: Continuous Improvement Manager

Job Summary

The Continuous Improvement Manager will champion a culture of Continuous Improvement through visible leadership at our Olive Branch Distribution Center. In addition, they will serve as the subject matter expert regarding the creation, implementation, and monitoring of Key Process Indicators (KPI’S), collaborate with area managers and front line leaders to identify and implement impactful continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, service delivery and cost. They will also serve as a coach and mentor, and train site employees in the use of continuous improvement tools including LEAN and Six Sigma. The role is based out of and has primary focus for our DC in Olive Branch, MS but will support additional DC’s in NV, OH and NY.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with DC Leader to shape a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

  • Identify discrepancies between existing processes and system requirements, communicating these gaps effectively to the operational teams for rectification.

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to build a comprehensive CI roadmap for the distribution center.

  • Lead initiatives to re-engineer processes to eliminate waste, thereby enhancing resource efficiency and contributing to the site's sustainability efforts.

  • Play a crucial role in supporting the company's projected growth by implementing scalable continuous improvement strategies that enhance operational capability and capacity.

  • Utilize lean principles to streamline processes, aiming for significant cost savings and aligning with the site's financial goals.

  • Lead existing efforts to implement Daily Management and 5S+1 in our DC’s.

  • Lead and/or facilitate continuous improvement projects, utilizing methodologies such as Lean, and Six Sigma.

  • Lead change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions to operations.

  • Collaborate with site leadership teams across multiple departments including warehousing, logistics, supply chain, and inventory management, to identify areas for improvement.

  • Facilitate and lead cross-functional teams to drive process improvement initiatives.

  • Provide training and mentorship to staff on continuous improvement techniques and tools.

  • Ensure projects meet stakeholder needs, while being delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Continuous Improvement role, preferably in a distribution or logistics environment.

  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required, Black Belt is highly desirable.

  • Proven track record of successful implementation of continuous improvement initiatives Using Lean, Six Sigma and Industrial Engineering Methodologies .

  • An effective change agent, with a proven track record of affecting broad change within a distribution or manufacturing organization.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to interact and engage with all levels of the organization.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ERP systems.
