Salary Range: $50.00 - $70.00 Hourly
Special Inspector
Urban Engineers is seeking qualified individuals to join the Facilities CM Department as a Special Inspector. This position will be responsible for providing special inspection on various New York projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform Special inspection including:
- Wall Panels, Curtain Walls, and Veneers
- Exterior Insulation Finish Systems (EIFS)
- Chimneys
- Flood Hazard Mitigation
- Sprayed Fire Resistant
- Smoke Control Systems
- Standpipe Systems and Sprinkler Systems
- Firestop, Draftstop, and Fireblock Systems
- Fire Alarm
- Emergency Power Systems
- Mechanical Systems
- Heating Systems
- Welding
- Structural Steel - Erection & High Strength Bolting
- Concrete - Cast-in place & Precast
- Prestressed Concrete
- Masonry
- Soils- Fill Placement, In-place Density
- Pile Foundations
- Pier Foundations
- Underpinning
- Structural safety - Stability, and Mechanical Demolition
- Excavation - Sheeting, Shoring, and Bracing
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Professional Engineering (PE) License is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of inspection experience.
- Active Certifications:
- OSHA 30
- ICC Structural Welding Special Inspector
- ICC Steel & Bolting Special Inspector
- ICC Structural Masonry Special Inspector
- ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector
- ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician
- NICET Level I, II, III
