Early Childhood Cook Position

• Preparing and/or serving snacks and hot lunches for children enrolled (approximately 145 children daily) under a strict time frame
• Transporting and delivering meals/snacks in company vehicle under a strict time fram
• Planning weekly menus, developing shopping lists, calculating amounts of food and making purchases.
• Organizing and cleaning kitchen according to health department standards.
• Maintaining nutritional requirements as identified by supervisor.
• Having a deep understanding of nutrition and food safety standards.
• Cleaning up after meals, washing dishes, utensils, pots, pans, etc.
• Maintaining full oversight over the institution's food program, including meal preparation, hygiene, food distribution to classrooms, and sanitation.
• Being knowledgeable about healthy foods and using budgeting skills to make food purchases for a given period of time.
• Being organized, reliable, and patient.
• Thrive in a fast paced environment
• Ability to lift and move heavy boxes/cans
