This position is responsible for the transport and delivery of freight on time in a professional manner by driving diesel-powered tractor trailer combinations short and long distances, while complying with Department of Transportation rules and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
These positions are responsible for delivering empty egg racks to the various farms and returning to the Hatchery with loaded egg racks. Driver will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks. Will also delivery baby chicks to the Broiler farms when needed. Must keep truck and equipment in good working order. Must be willing to work in outside hot or cold and dusty environments. Must be willing to climb up and down stairs to get to from the work areas and steps in out of the trucks.
Position will be for split shift(days nights), but must be willing to work any shift. Hours will be from 1pm to midnight Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This facility may run 7 days a week, Sunday- Saturday Must be able to work a flexible schedule. Must have and maintain Commercial Driver s License. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must have at least 1 year CDL driving experience. Must have previous experience driving tractor trailer, including manual transmission (straight drive). Must have a good driving record. Must have a current DOT medical card. Must be able to read, write and have a good basic knowledge of math. Bending, pulling, twisting, turning, and good hand eye foot coordination is required. Must have general knowledge of locations of all broiler and breeder farms. Must be able to wear bio security jacket
