This position is responsible for entry level non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
JOB SUMMARY The working conditions in the hatchery is hot and dusty. Some areas of the hatchery can be wet and slippery when performing clean up. The responsibility of the general labor is to maintain the operation of the Hatchery during 2nd shift to include but not limited to machine checks, setting up equipment for next shift, and basic upkeep of facility. DUTIES 1. Machine and hallway checks every 3 hours 2. Set up equipment for next day s production 3. Upkeep of wicks and water for humidity system 4. Help vendor pick up egg shell waste 5. Complete monthly part inventory 6. Dump bags of salt in the water softener 7. Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS 1. Must be 18 years of age or older. 2. Must be able to perform the essential job functions. 3. Must be willing to work from Monday to Friday, weekend work may be required. 4. Must have basic knowledge of computers 5. Must be able to clearly articulate verbally and in written format 6. Must not have 5 or more attendance points. 7. Must not have a written warning within the last 6 months. 8. Must not have had a written suspension within the last 12 months ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 1. Must be able to perform duties while standing for duration of shift. 2. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. repetitively 3. Able to perform duties while standing and bending throughout the shift. 4. Must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment. 5. Must be able to work in a wet and dusty environment 6. Must be able to meet all qualifications listed above
