Role Summary:

As the Regional Sourcing Leader for North America within the Pedestrian Segment at ASSA ABLOY ES Production, you will spearhead the development and execution of purchasing policies, category strategies, and supplier management initiatives. Your primary goal will be to ensure optimal material supply in terms of quality, cost, and delivery performance. This role demands close collaboration with internal cross-functional teams, such as development, production, logistics, and finance, while leading a team of procurement professionals responsible for the North American supply chain of the Pedestrian Business Segment. Moreover, you will play a pivotal role in product stakeholder meetings, acting as a project leader or core-team member, and driving larger projects within your category.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute category strategies

  • Lead and develop the category team

  • Conduct contracting and negotiations, establishing common agendas with key suppliers

  • Manage the supplier base effectively

  • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders

  • Ensure compliance with company processes and standards

  • Set and meet targets and KPIs

  • Ensure adherence to category strategy in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects

    Responsibilities and Authorities:

  • Sign legal agreements

  • Create and execute category strategies for the Segment

  • Drive supplier/category KPIs

  • Establish global category teams and delegate activities aligning with category KPIs for the segment

  • Follow authorization processes

    Requirements:

  • 5 years of relevant purchasing experience, with 2-3 years as a strategic or category manager in an international organization(s) and project management experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/business administration or equivalent documented experience

  • Proficiency in spoken and written English; additional languages such as Spanish or Portuguese are advantageous.

  • Proficient in office tools, with ERP experience preferred.
