As a Tool Room Coordinator here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the tool room and leading the work direction and job tracking. Your strong leadership skills and technical expertise will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of the tool room and supporting the productivity of our teams.

In this role, you will have a direct impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations by ensuring projects are tracked and organized. You will play a crucial role in leading and developing your MOS, as well as collaborating with engineering to meet tooling needs and drive continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the tool room, including tracking cycle-times, projects, and distribution.

  • Lead and develop a MOS that provides cross functional satisfaction between the tool makers and engineering.

  • Ensure that all tools and equipment are properly maintained and in good working condition.

  • Organize and track projects, ensuring that jobs are delivered in a timely manner.

  • Collaborate with other departments to identify tooling needs.

  • Conduct and lead regular scheduled meetings with internal or external customers.

  • Liaison with/represent the team to the rest of the organization.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 5+ years of experience in tool room management or a related field.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Technical expertise in tool maintenance and repair.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

WE VALUE

  • Strong computer skills: Solidworks, Excel, Autocad, Word, CAD-CAM, Mastercam

  • Experience with inventory management systems.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve tooling issues.

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.

  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
