Job Description

Our automotive manufacturing client is looking for a Process Engineer to join their team in Maryville, TN. This role will require you to be onsite full-time and travel occasionally to other locations for new line installation and launch. At the start, this role will be focused heavier on the install and new line launch, and as time progresses the role will settle more into a standard Process Engineering position. Each day with start with a scope meeting to discuss changes and updates made on the line from the day prior and access your priority focus from there. Your daily priorities will change from day to day but will consist of the following responsibilities: supporting line install, equipment programming & configuration, alignment of equipment, data collection, producing results summaries, data presentations and line approval presentations for leadership. This role also requires the establishment, documentation, and maintenance of the Process Control Plan, Process Flow, and PFMEA to outline product quality requirements, risk mitigation, process setting conditions, and validation requirements within a specific product line, You will provide technical support to Production and Maintenance groups to address quality, safety, and productivity issues and assist with training staff, managing budgets, procuring quotes, and overall project management. This includes conducting process margin studies, process capability analysis, and reporting results to key team members.

This role will require travel to other facilities within Tennessee (day trips), as well as international travel to HQ in Japan. International travel is expected to be a total of a several weeks out of the year.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's Degree (ME, EE, IE, etc.)

5+ years in Process Engineering

AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks experience Electronic Manufacturing background

Knowledge of soldering theory

Robot programming experience

Vision systems knowledge

Automation background

PLC knowledge null
