Robert Half Fixed Asset Accountant in Louisville, Kentucky

Description

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support an industry-leader in the Louisville metropolitan market. This role involves tracking and analyzing capital programs, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring sound financial decision-making. The successful candidate will be expected to operate cross-functionally, contribute to capital planning, and maintain the asset ledger. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of capital expenditure budgets and forecasts.

  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting of capital expenditures and related variances.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely recording of capital transactions.

  • Conduct detailed analyses of capital projects, including ROI calculations and payback period assessments.

  • Monitor and track capital assets, depreciation, and amortization schedules.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of capital accounting policies and procedures.

  • Provide support for internal and external audits related to capital reporting.

  • Manage the accounting and reporting of fixed assets in accordance with company policies and GAAP standards.

  • Conduct regular reconciliations and audits to ensure accuracy and completeness of fixed asset records.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to track capital expenditures and ensure proper classification of assets.

  • Analyze fixed asset data to identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and areas for process improvement.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, with a minimum of 2 years focused on capital accounting.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

  • Proficiency in financial analysis, modeling, and reporting.

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
