JOB DESCRIPTION

Marriott International is seeking a high potential intern who is passionate and keen to establish a career in digital services and/or a career in the hospitality industry.

The intern will work for Marriott International’s Digital Service Malaysia team based in the Kuala Lumpur office. The intern will play a crucial role in supporting Digital projects for both area and property (hotels)

Internship period is from April to September 2024.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The intern will assist in providing operational support and the key responsibilities include:

  • Support the Marriott Digital Services teams on new and on-going projects which span across Digital Performance Projects, Room campaigns, Restaurant and bars, campaigns, Loyalty/Marriott BonVoy projects, Social Media Performance, as well as admin related tasks.

  • Support the operation, monitoring, and tracking of Marriot Digital Services work to the hotels and the area.

  • Coordinate project work with other functional departments which includes the delivery of Property and area campaigns and content development

  • Obtaining digital data points, generating relevant report, and developing documentation needed

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

You should be a high-potential intern who is passionate, committed, and keen to establish a career in the hospitality and digital industry with the following attributes:

  1. Excellent oral and written communication skills

  2. Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a collaborative work environment, especially in a multicultural team, and with all departments – both above property and at the hotels.

  3. Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, result-oriented nature

  4. Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills

  5. Detail-oriented and deadline-sensitive

  6. Take initiative and act quickly to support and deliver projects in a professional manner

  7. PC skills- MS Office programs (Strong in Excel. Basic knowledge of Word and PowerPoint)

  8. Team player with the ability to work with external parties and with all levels of the organization

QUALIFICATION STANDARD

Education: bachelor’s degree in digital marketing, business, marketing, communication, or hospitality managementpreferred

Requirements

Malaysia Permanent Resident Holder or valid student pass / work holiday pass

Eligible for undergraduate in a Malaysia registered university program / undergraduate or graduate of a university in Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, United Kingdom or United States.

Prepared to commit to a six months’ internship
