The Role:

The Material Handler will work as part of a material handling team, coordinating the inventory and parts management for the facility. The Material Handler will work closely with the materials management group, team leads, assemblers and supervisors to meet the daily production requirements and contribute to an organization committed to and focused on improving product and process quality through continuous improvement, Lean, other problem solving techniques.

Job Responsibilities:

• Execute manufacturing and warehousing operations according to standard operating procedures and job safety requirements.

• Operate production and warehouse machinery; manual, automatic and/or semi-automatic; and computers as required.

• Complete daily production logs, required reporting, record keeping and inventory cycle counts.

• Generate, collect, move, store hazardous waste or prepare document(s) related to non-hazardous/hazardous waste management.

• Maintain material supply level adhering to “Just in Time” manufacturing principles.

  Job Requirements:

• High school diploma / GED

• Ability to read, write, and follow written instructions in English.

• Ability to drive a forklift (training and certification can be obtained on the job)

• Above average computer skills; experience using SAP or other inventory management systems and Microsoft Office products preferred.

• Manufacturing, warehouse, inventory management experience preferred.

• Good vision and ability to distinguish between colors.

• Ability to use material handling equipment; box openers, pallet jacks, forklifts.
