Haworth 2nd Shift Associate Maintenance Supervisor in Holland, Michigan

Job Overview

We are currently looking for a 2nd Shift Associate Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Holland.  

As an Associate Maintenance Supervisor, you will:

  • Under guidance and mentoring provided by Maintenance Supervisor and/or Maintenance Manager, coaches, plans, and monitors implementation and coordination of Total Process Management (TPM) program. Provides appropriate direction and support (coaching) to members within areas of responsibility by clarifying current situation, explaining and demonstrating, providing feedback, redirecting, and reinforcing, including development of members in preventive and predictive maintenance; autonomous maintenance; and continuous improvement of products, processes, and equipment made and produced at Haworth.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing technology, engineering, or equivalent.
  • Three years' experience in operations or facilities maintenance or engineering, including one year lead/supervisory experience.

OR

  • Certification as Journeyman in skilled trade, with emphasis on technical skills in tool and die, electrical/electronic, hydraulic, Heating/Ventilation/Air Conditioning (HVAC), power transmissions, engine repair, pneumatic systems, and welding.
  • Five years' experience in operations or facilities maintenance, including one year lead/supervisory experience.  

In addition:

  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • The ability to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification as Journeyman in skilled trade, with emphasis on technical skills in tool and die, electrical/electronic, hydraulic, Heating/Ventilation/Air Conditioning (HVAC), power transmissions, engine repair, pneumatic systems, and welding.
  • 5 years of experience in operations or facilities maintenance, including 1 year of leadership/supervisory experience.
Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:
  • Demonstrated excellent leadership and team-building skills, using concepts of continuous improvements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • PC and keyboard/mouse skills required, including working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and maintenance management applications.
  • Must be able to work in development-oriented team environment.
  • Ability to climb/bend/balance in manufacturing environment and lift/move objects weighing up to 70 pounds.
  • Ability to occasionally travel overnight away from corporate offices, including internationally, to various Haworth locations.
