What You’ll Be Doing:

The Operational Performance Analytics team offers candidates the opportunity to work with key operational leaders to help our organization gain efficiencies and drive decision-making through analytics. We are strategic reporting analysts, advisors, and subject matter experts who accomplish our mission by using systematic approaches to measure performance and increase ROI. Collaboration Opportunities :

Your role works closely with clinical operations stakeholders to understand their operational challenges and to build analytics solutions to help them make informed, data-driven decisions. These stakeholders include clinicians, operational leadership, and frontline staff.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Working on an operational analytics team supporting Evolent’s clinical services (i.e., specialty care, utilization management, care management, appeals & grievances)

  • Using analytical tools to integrate various data sources to solve challenging analytical problems that align with key strategic objectives.

  • Developing reports that assess the value of our clinical programs or create monitoring tools to identify members with complex health needs.

  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to determine how to measure and report on key performance metrics. This includes serving as a strategic partner who has a voice in determining the best path forward when faced with challenges or tradeoffs.

  • Building and managing performance metrics and standard report production.

  • Identifying data and reporting gaps and working with the appropriate teams to get those gaps addressed upstream.

Qualifications - Required and Preferred:

  • BS or BA in Public Health, Epidemiology, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or equivalent years of experience with a quantitative emphasis. ( Required)

  • 2-5 years of experience in an analytics role at a health plan, consulting firm, hospital system, or other healthcare-related experience. ( Preferred)

  • 2-5 years of experience using SQL or SAS (SQL preferred), and Excel. ( Preferred)

  • Independent thinker with the ability to multitask and manage multiple long-term projects with varying timelines. ( Required)

  • Willingness to develop and explore innovative approaches, adapt, execute quickly, and be comfortable with ambiguous project outlines. ( Required)

  • Experience using a variety of data visualizations to deliver business insights clearly and succinctly. ( Required)

  • Collaborative working style with the ability to work across different organizations and personalities. ( Required)

  • Strong analytical abilities, with a track record of identifying insights from quantitative and qualitative data. ( Required)

Technical Requirements:

We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.

The expected base salary/wage range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000. This position is also eligible for a bonus component that would be dependent on pre-defined performance factors. As part of our total compensation package, Evolent is proud to offer comprehensive benefits (including health insurance benefits) to qualifying employees. All compensation determinations are based on the skills and experience required for the position and commensurate with experience of selected individuals, which may vary above and below the stated amounts.
