This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Applicants will be considered for any general maintenance position opening on any shift, such as day, evening, or night shift, as well as overtime and weekends, if required. General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. You must be able to set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery. Must be able to learn Tyson SAP software to perform preventative maintenance routines as scheduled by Supervisors as well as confirm time into the SAP system to record daily activities and create equipment history. Must have the ability to proficiently TIG-weld stainless steel to meet USDA standards for food contact, ability to read and understand blueprints, as well as have understanding of basic plumbing and the ability to work independently. Must be able to read and write where required. Must be able to use math as needed to make work-related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc. Must be able to lift up to seventy (70) pounds on a daily basis and able to work on your feet for a period of up to twelve (12) hours consecutively. Six months general or industrial maintenance background required. Applicants with previous Tyson Foods work history will not be considered for this position.
