Job Summary:

Reporting to the HR Leader for the Thermo King EMEA, the HR Business Partner role will work closely with senior business leaders and have the autonomy to drive decisions and contribute to business success.

As an HR Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction of our organization by aligning HR practices with business objectives within your assigned client group. Additionally, you will be responsible for leading and managing HR projects and initiatives, as well as shaping talent strategy for the region.

Preferred locations: Ireland (Galway) or Belgium (Brussels).

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to senior leaders within the region, providing guidance and support on HR matters, including talent management, workforce planning, employee engagement, organizational effectiveness and diversity & Inclusion.

  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand current and future business needs and develop and implement relevant HR strategies and initiatives to address those needs.

  • Oversee the recruitment efforts for teams under your responsibility, ensuring effective talent acquisition strategies, candidate selection, and onboarding processes, while considering the unique market dynamics of the region.

  • Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle for the assigned client group, performance management, career development, employee relations, and offboarding, while considering local labor laws and regulations.

  • Actively partner with people leaders within your client group to build and maintain a high-performance culture that fosters employee growth, engagement, retention and inclusion

  • Lead talent management activities including Talent Review process for assigned groups and actively participate in the regional talent council to help shape the talent strategy and talent initiatives in the region.

  • Lead and manage HR projects and initiatives, utilizing project management methodologies and tools to ensure successful implementation, tracking, and completion within defined timelines and budget constraints.

  • Analyze HR metrics and trends within the region to identify areas for improvement and proactively develop and implement solutions that consider regional nuances.

  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in, recommending and driving innovative HR practices to enhance the employee experience.

Key Competencies:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Human Resources Business Partner role, preferably with regional experience.

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to strategically align HR initiatives with business objectives while considering regional factors.

  • Proven experience in managing the full employee lifecycle and driving employee engagement and retention while adapting to regional cultural contexts.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization,

  • Demonstrated project management skills, with experience leading and managing HR projects and initiatives within defined timelines and budget constraints.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and recommend effective solutions.

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with utmost discretion.
