Job Description:

The Office of the University Registrar is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join the Registration and Curriculum Services team as a Coordinator II. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of various academic programs and processes, contributing to the success of our student body. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities include:

Program Coordination

  • Coordinate various academic programs, including Distance Education Programs, High School Dual Enrollment, Employee Education Waivers, and Standard Non-Degree and Special Programs.

  • Provide daily support to students, departments, and colleges, ensuring accurate student records and compliance with university policies.

  • Assist in evaluating and compiling documents for waiver consideration.

  • Assist with monthly reporting of enrollment data to the National Student Clearinghouse.

  • Serve as a resource for resolving registration issues and collaborate with programming staff to enhance registration processes.

Customer Service

  • Provide informational service by phone or email to students, university staff, and the general public.

  • Assist frontline staff in resolving complex issues.

  • Research, analyze, and resolve data discrepancies and student concerns.

Supervision and Training

  • Select, train, and supervise staff assigned to the area.

  • Monitor workload and recommend process improvements.

  • Prioritize tasks and provide guidance to staff members, fostering a supportive and productive work environment.

Other duties

  • Serve as backup for the enrollment certification process.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to streamline procedures, improve record-keeping methods, and update training guides.

  • Cross-train to provide support in other areas of the office as needed.

    This position is located at the University of Florida's main campus in Gainesville, FL and may be eligible for a flexible, hybrid work arrangement in accordance with the University of Florida and Division of Enrollment Management's policies.

Expected Salary:

$45,000 annually

Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships with others; ability to supervise

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to comprehend and interpret university and Registrar policies, procedures, and academic regulations

  • Ability to establish work priorities and coordinate the timely completion of work assignments

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and work with minimal supervision

  • Microsoft Office Sui9te proficiency and a working knowledge of user-automated systems
