[Job Title: Senior Account Clerk (31612) *[Join Purdue University Fort Wayne: [We are currently seeking a full-time on-site *Senior Account Clerk in our Bursar and Student Finance office. [This position provides oversight for student organizations in an effort to ensure that appropriate fiscal controls are in place and that account management occurs in a timely, appropriate manner. The pay for this position is $18.00/hr. - Provide fiscal oversight for student activities conducted by recognized organizations.
- Analyze account balances for accuracy and fiscal compliance according to university and departmental policies.
- Reconcile cash-in-transit, university-issued purchasing card accounts, and ACH transactions.
- Respond to inquiries via email, telephone and in person to students and authorized agents.
- Complete student worker payroll for those participating in the federal work study program.
- Provide backup support to the front office clerks when needed.

- An Associate degree in accounting, business, or a related field.
- 3 years of customer service experience with additional experience in cash handling/collection, and reconciliation.
- Proficiency in general PC applications - word processing and spreadsheets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to effectively prioritize and organize workflow.

- Experience at a university in accounting processes, spreadsheets, and an ERP system.
- Knowledge of university business office procedures.
