Avery Dennison Machine Operator I (Monday thru Thursday) 3:50 pm to 2 am - $17.50 plus 11% shift ($19.43) in Fletcher, North Carolina

The Machine Operator supports our new product development team, working closely with our onsite Engineer support.  Do you like working with new technology, and trying to figure out how things work?  Do you find it interesting to be part of the team that helps develop and test new products that Avery Dennison is creating?  Do you find puzzles or Legos to be your idea of fun.  Is problem solving your super power?  This may be the role for you!!!

  • Pay $17.25 per hour:

  • Work Monday thru Thursday from 3:50 pm to 2 am

  • 11% shift differential ($19.15)

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Transport raw material as needed (Ability to lift 50lbs is required)

  • Tend to machines with a high level of focus on safety, quality and productivity.

  • Inspect the product using visual inspection precision tools and equipment

  • Maintain a lean and organized work area.

  • Follow all policies, procedures, and management systems

  • Perform all duties in full compliance of all laws, safety and environmental regulations

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  • Work in a collaborative team environment

  • Possess the ability to operate machinery that utilizes high power magnets 

  • Show initiative, eagerness and a drive to gain knowledge and advance with Avery Dennison

  • High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple priorities, while adapting as needed based on business demands

  • Resourcefulness, accuracy, problem solving, attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency.

  • Display a strong work ethic and commitment

  • Ability to promote the company’s goals of continuous improvement through engagement

  • Effectively communicate with our employees, contractors and outside vendors.

  • Good attendance and punctuality is a must.

  • Display honesty, integrity and ethics

  • Possess mechanical aptitude, including measuring in millimeters and basic math skills

  • Basic computer skills are required

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience

  • 2 years of experience as a machine operator, or other relevant technical experience is required

  • Previous experience with conducting transactions in SAP, Oracle or other ERP system

  • Previous experience operating rotary printing, converting, coating equipment or CNC machines is preferred 

  • No Previous RFID experience required
