This position is responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and or unloaded in a timely manner while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Applicants will be considered for a forklift opening on any shift, such as day, evening or night shift as well as overtime and weekends if required. Applicants will be considered for openings in any department that may include, but are not limited to Warehouse or Shipping and Receiving. Specialized training for powered industrial trucks required to be qualified within Tyson Foods, Inc. Responsible for operating a forklift Applicant will load and unload trucks, take product and CIs to and from departments and lines and document both electronically and on paper their activities. Applicants must be able to work in a fast paced environment that may vary in temperature, require repetitive motion, and may required lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 40 lbs. This position will require constant standing (8 - 10 hour shifts), walking, and riding a powered material handling equipment (forklift, stand up lift). Material Handling and Receiving positions require lifting 70+ lbs. Candidates must be able to obtain Forklift License. You must have three months of work history within the last six months to be considered for this position. Applicants will be considered from the following counties in AR Washington, Benton, and Madison. Qualified bidders may have no more than 6 attendance points at the time of the bid and must not have received a Disciplinary Action of a written warning in the previous three (3) months or a written warning with suspension within the six (6) months at the time the job bid is posted. Completion of a six month period on previous successful bid if the new position is not a higher classification (lateral, down bid, or self-disqualification).
