Ozarks Electric, headquartered in Fayetteville, Arkansas with offices in Springdale, Arkansas, Stilwell and Westville Oklahoma incorporated in 1938, is a member-owned electric cooperative, serving more than 80,000 meters across nine counties in Northwest Arkansas and Northeast Oklahoma.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

Must be pursuing a bachelor\'s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, MIS/CIS, Statistics, Engineering or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical equivalent experience.

\

EXPERIENCE:

Must have experience with data querying languages (such as SQL, python, etc.), as well as experience in data analysis and data modeling.

Bonus:

  • Experience with cloud base solutions. (Azure Especially!)
  • Experience with HTML
  • Experience using data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Any skill the sets you apart and provides tangible value to the organization.

JOB KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Must be able to effectively collaborate with people within a project team. Have the ability to identify and effectively resolve issues. Possess demonstrated experience translating complex and technical subject matter.

MAJOR JOB TASKS:

  • Database Design and Optimization:Collaborate on the design, implementation, and optimization of databases to ensure efficiency and reliability, considering factors such as performance, scalability, and security.
  • Cloud Computing Integration:Utilize cloud computing platforms to enhance database capabilities, ensuring seamless integration with cloud services and optimizing performance in a cloud environment.
  • Data Reliability:Establish and maintain protocols for data quality, integrity, and reliability. Implement measures to monitor and enhance the accuracy and consistency of datasets.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:Work closely with various stakeholders and functional teams to understand database requirements, and effectively communicate technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
  • Security Compliance:Adhere to security best practices and compliance standards in database management, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive data.
  • Operations Automation:Provide automation solutions through a variety of methods to reduce inefficiency within the business units.

EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Vendors, Consultants, and Technology Companies:To evaluate and implement data models, database platforms, reporting tools, and related monitoring

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • All specific equipment related to Information Technology as well as routine office equipment.Must have valid driver\'s license without violation, which would prohibit insurability.
  • Must be able to perform complicated research, reporting, application and process analysis, and querying of data. Strong attention to detail. Strong organizational and planning skills. Impeccable written and verbal communication skills. Problem So lving, Process Improvement, Project Management, and Reporting.
  • Work is performed in an office environment with higher and/or longer noise level than average. Weekends, evening hours, overtime and/or overnight travel will occasionally be necessary.
