Supplier Quality Technologist - BWX Technologies, Inc. - Euclid, OH

BWX Technologies, Inc. is looking for an ideal candidate to fulfill the role of a Supplier Quality Technologist as part of their Nuclear Operations Group, Supplier Quality Assurance Department. This individual will be responsible for surveillance and source inspection of manufactured and purchased products. This individual will overcheck and perform dimensional and visual inspection as well as be a liaison with both the customer and Government representatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Visit suppliers to review processes/problems and conduct source inspections.

  • Prepare inspection plans for subcontracted parts.

  • Develop source inspection plans.

  • Perform vendor audits.

  • Review and disposition Vendor Procedures and non-conforming materials.

  • Review suppliers' certifications and inspection records.

  • Assist Supplier Quality Engineers with Receipt Inspection and Vendor matters.

  • Participate in the development of new/current suppliers.

  • Other tasks as assigned to fulfill business needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience with layout dimensional inspection and working application of GD&T.

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s/Technical degree.

  • Ability to pass the layout dimensional examination.

  • Knowledge of welding and NDT/NDE is preferred.

  • Must be willing to travel as necessary. Travel is expected to be 50% of the individual’s time. Most travel is local (day visits) or within 150 miles of the Euclid office (one or two days including overnight stay).

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance is required.

The base salary range for this position in [[stateProvince]] at the start of employment is expected to be between $[[custsalaryMin]] and $[[custsalaryMax]] per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
