GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: This position will supervise hourly Maintenance Mechanics and/or any parts Clerks in the daily maintenance and preventative maintenance needs of the facility. TASKS include, but are not limited to, the following: Monitor and manage the day-to-day operations of equipment Overseeing budgeting and expenses Coordinate activities and maintain a good working relationship with other departments and/or contractors as needed to ensure good relations and project completion in a timely fashion Managing records Preparing reports as necessary Ensure fair and consistent compliance to policies and procedures as set forth in our handbook Supervise, support, and lead by example all subordinate employees Perform project development tasks for facility Hire and train maintenance staff; hold regular staff meetings and staff schedules. Coordinate mechanical staff training. Ensure that staff maintains the highest level of technical competency andinitiative to assure benchmark level performance. Work with Corporate Maintenance, Safety, and Training Departments to develop training programs for maintenance staff that insures continued growth and improvement. Staff and schedule department to minimize overtime and maximize efficiencies General Management Skills/Core Values: Be fiscally responsible in department, facility, and company as a whole. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and trainingemployees (includes ability to promote); planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university that has been accredited by the Department of Education, preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
