Here’s the Gist:

Wolfspeed’s Materials Team is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Specialist. This person will be responsible for performing proactive maintenance on production and R&D systems. This role will interact directly with equipment technicians, equipment engineering, process engineering, and other groups to meet Wolfspeed goals. This person will be responsible for a diverse mixture of activities with a strong emphasis on hands-on mechanical assembly, high-vacuum systems and electrical work.
 

12-hour day and night shift positions available.
 

The Day-to-Day:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on tools in accordance with equipment specifications

  • Maintain detailed records of any maintenance performed through paper and electronic checklists

  • Disassemble and reassemble equipment according to operating manuals, schematics, blueprints, etc.

  • Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform equipment checks

  • Consistently perform repeatable tasks to improve up-time or overall equipment performance (as needed), including changing filters, o-rings/seals, brushes and other consumables

  • Support the company’s 5S program for a safe, clean, and organized manufacturing area.

  • Equipment spare parts support (repair and replacement part delivery, etc.)

This Job is Right for You if You Have:

  • High school education or GED, Technician Certification Program preferred

  • Working familiarity of electrical systems with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals

  • Mechanical aptitude - because of the uniqueness of the equipment, you will not possess prior experience on these tools

  • This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
