Eaton Corporation 2nd Shift Team Lead in Duncan, South Carolina

Eaton’s ES AMER HQ MFGSC division is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Team Lead.

The hourly rate for this position is $24/hr shift differential of $1.25 per hour.

What you’ll do:

Position Overview:

Assist Supervisor in task (production) scheduling and assignment. Support Supervisor in accumulation of productive data and subsequent analysis. Coordinate scheduling and follow-up of both on the job training and compliance with site safety regulations.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Assist Supervisor in day-to-day DC operations.

• Monitor workload and allocate resources as required.

• Coordinate all OJT and safety training requirements.

• Participate in OJT and safety team.

• Assist in productivity and non-conformance data collection and analysis.

• Research answers and correct minor day-to-day operations problems and questions; troubleshooting to include both internal and external customer inquiries.

• Recommend new ideas and proposals supporting site scorecard categories and initiatives.

• Provide temporary supervision as required if Supervisor is away – of limited time duration.

• Support all site safety, quality and productivity goals.

• Support kai-ban replenishment system and coordinate material handling with warehouse (W34).

• Perform work of equal or lower classifications as needed.

• Observe safety policies, report unsafe acts and hazards, and maintain a clean and orderly department.

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Specialized Knowledge:

• Strong verbal and written communication Strong people skills

• Strong PC skills –WMS, VISTA, EXCEL

• Must be able to learn on the job, adapt to changes and become proficient quickly

• Position requires high level of concentration and close attention to details

• Must be responsive to customer requests both internally and externally

• Must be able to exercise discretion and judgment

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

• Minimum 1 year in a manufacturing and or distribution environment

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of 50 miles will be considered.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
