Gage Lab - Responsible for the management, calibration and inspection of precision measurement equipment for the Dayton facility. This position will be a grade M3-M5. CMM: Conduct CMM inspections of parts, gages and tooling to verify conformance with started requirements Conducts first article, in-process, and final inspections and completes required records of inspection results Perform troubleshooting of CMM's Complete gage requests and gage calibrations as needed Gage Lab: Inspect and/or calibrate gages such as ring, plug thread ring, thread plug, snap gages, micrometers, dial Indicators, CMM, surface plates, electronic gages, or other precision measuring instruments in accordance with established requirements Conduct miscellaneous surface plate inspections and hand-held gage setup/calibration Monitor calibration records to ensure all calibrations are performed per required schedule Receive gage requests, accurately record issuance and deliver gages to production Perform gage setups Operate CMM's to support product flow through inspection All Areas: Maintain inspection procedures, inspection records and all other quality related documentation Review Quality documentation for accuracy and work with Engineering to correct as needed Assist Manufacturing and Engineering in determination of part conformance and process capability Actively participates in process improvement projects and cost savings activities Supports other areas of the Quality Department as needed Adheres to all safety guidelines and procedures Other assignments as required Required Knowledge of blueprints, drawings and specifications Ability to read and interpret GD&T requirements Consistently demonstrates high level of commitment to Parker Values. Demonstrated ability to solve technical problems Able to communicate effectively with management, and co-workers to promote strong working relationships and create an environment focused on teamwork Flexible with work and job assignments and willing to perform any function as needed Must be dependable and available to work overtime when required Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook Self-motivated and ability to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision Ability to carry/ lift up to 35 lbs. (50% of the time). Must have the ability to stand, kneel, squat, stoop, use fingers and hands to feel, lift or handle tools, parts and equipment. Work Experience Required 5 years of dimensional inspection and/or CMM Inspection experience with machined components Experience with multiple inspection methods including CMM operation Preferred 3 years of Machining experience Education Required High School Diploma or equivalent Certifications Required None Languages Required English This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident ["green card" holders], or have refugee or asylee status).
