Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Corrections Maintenance Foreman - SCI Dallas in Dallas, Pennsylvania

Reference #: 4488762 THE POSITION Do you have experience in trades or building maintenance? The Department of Corrections (DOC), State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Dallas is seeking someone highly motivated with experience in the upkeep and repair of buildings to join our team as a Corrections Maintenance Foreman. Your leadership skills and maintenance expertise will help us keep our facility in excellent condition. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will supervise inmate work crews in completing routine construction, janitorial, groundskeeping, and maintenance work assignments in and around the facility. You will also perform or assist with semi-skilled journey-level work in one or more trades, including carpentry, refrigeration, or painting. You will plan and assign daily inmate schedules and inspect completed work assignments; issue and inventory all materials and tools used to complete work assignments; and submit purchase request for materials and tools as necessary.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 40 hours per week Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday. This position is eligible for full benefits at age 50 or 55. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Please Note: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $44,753 (before taxes). Four years of experience performing building maintenance, construction, or general trades work; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirements:
