Job Summary:

The Maintenance Engineering team is responsible for establishing equipment maintenance procedures and solving technical problems related to manufacturing equipment as well as executing process improvement efforts. The Maintenance Engineer will engage in the repair and improvement of manufacturing and facilities equipment and processes.

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots manufacturing and building system problems and organizes or completes repairs.

  • Assist Maintenance Technicians on complex troubleshooting issues.

  • Helps Determines root cause of failures and develops processes or strategies to prevent reoccurring failures.

  • Develops preventative maintenance procedures to help prevent equipment downtime.

  • Drives continuous improvement efforts.

  • Leads reliability efforts by analyzing data and driving long term solutions and processes.

  • Advises supervisor of needs for outside services and works with service representatives on equipment.

  • Plans and leads projects and executes assignments.

  • Support production team with equipment support and/or training.

  • Work with vendors to locate and order parts and materials required for repairing equipment.

  • Communicates effectively with internal customers regarding status of equipment in the building.

  • Interacts with employees in all functions at all levels in the organization.

  • Uses a variety of lock-out/tag-out devices as required per plant LOTO Plan.

  • Ability to work in parallel with other Engineers inside and outside of the Maintenance Department.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred. Will consider experience in lieu of a degree. High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Experience with root cause analysis and process improvement projects

  • Advanced PLC programming experience preferred

  • Experience troubleshooting drives, programs, motors, and other electronics required.

  • Demonstrate understanding of systems and autonomous equipment.

  • Metal fabrication and forming equipment experience preferred.

  • Experience using structured and strategic problem-solving methods to resolve issues.

  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills

  • Must be able to read electrical schematics effectively.

  • Self-starter who is motivated to solve problems quickly in order to support manufacturing operations.

  • Must be able to multitask and manage several projects at a time

  • Willingness to change, flex, and learn in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Willingness to take on new assignments outside of normal

  • Teamwork oriented and ability to train others.

Phy sical Requirements:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal company and external associates, both written and orally, including the telephone. Mobility within the work facility.

Base Pay Range: $80,000+ based on experience

Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
